Panic Town

It’s been a while but I’m stood back here

So many things have disappeared

And it’s amazing how much people make such

A strong mark on one place

And when they’re gone

The wind just seems to dip

You can’t hold on

Your fingers start to slip

So take those loving eyes

And tell them that it’s over

Or you’ll be waiting around

Alone in panic town

Cos when nothing’s like it was

Then you’ve got to look to find

A different place, a new ground

Or remain in panic town

I’m here now for the reason that I left

But then good meets bad and they start ripping up my head

But I wouldn’t reverse my situation now

Cos it’s all I could ever want

And when they’re gone

The wind just seems to dip

You can’t hold on

Your fingers start to slip

So take those loving eyes

And tell them that it’s over

Or you’ll be waiting around

Alone in panic town

Cos when nothing’s like it was

Then you’ve got to look to find

A different place, a new ground

Or remain in panic town

But if there’s one thing that I’ve learned

Is it’s a whole lot different now

Oh I could never be swayed

Cos when there’s something you held close

And just a part of it remains

Then it’s not enough to stay

So take those loving eyes

And tell them that it’s over

Or you’ll be waiting around

Alone in panic town

Cos when nothing’s like it was

Then you’ve got to look to find

A different place, a new ground

Or remain in panic town
